From polyurethane or polystyrene foam surfboards, to neoprene wetsuits, and ending with wax – that paraffin wax used to increase the surfer's grip on the board – everything seems to be toxic.

Well, there's a resident of Leiria concerned about the future of the oceans who has channeled all his inventive talent into solving this type of problem. Romeu Cristóvão, 33 years old, has a degree in Design and Multimedia and is so creative that he can't stay still.

After inventing inflatable stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) to make transportation easier, he has now decided to answer the age-old question of wax .
